Fairfax Academy’s Social, Emotional and Mental Health centre has benefited from a £39,600 Trust grant. Its new sensory room was opened by former Paralympian Ade Adepitan in July 2026.

The project provides a place for students to pause, regulate their emotions and return to learning. Improvements include quiet study pods, furniture and sensory equipment.

It demonstrates how targeted local funding can help remove barriers to education and support students’ wellbeing.
